Funded by generous donors, these scholarships help ease the financial burden of college. Also, these awards recognize your academic excellence and future career plans. In addition to departmental scholarships, our students often receive external assistance and graduate assistantships to help cover the cost of their education.

AACE International Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a deserving undergraduate student seeking a degree in the Technology and Construction Management Department.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Crossland Construction Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate majoring in the Department of Technology and Construction Management with a cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Doyle Kemper Memorial Scholarship

Value

Award number and value dependent on the availability of funding.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time junior majoring in Technology Management or Industrial Education demonstrating academic excellence and involvement on campus or in the community.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

EFCO Corporation Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in Technology Management. Freshmen considered based on high school academic performance, and leadership. Sophomores or greater must have a departmental GPA of 3.0.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time Industrial Management/Construction Major. Student must demonstrate character and leadership.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Howard Moore Group, Inc. Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time sophomore or greater majoring in Technology or Construction Management with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a departmental GPA of 3.0. Scholarship is automatically renewable as long as the student maintains satisfactory academic progress.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship is renewed automatically. Scholarship automatically renewed as long as the student maintains satisfactory academic progress.

James W. Gardner, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student that is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Preference will be given to non-traditional students.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Missouri Concrete Association (MCA) Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a sophomore or greater Construction Management major or a student seeking a degree in an area of study that would benefit his/her success in a potential career in the ready mixed concrete and/or related field, with a 3.0 departmental GPA.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Orin R. Robinson Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time junior seeking a degree in Technology and Construction Management. The student must have a cumulative and departmental GPA of 3.0. The student must have financial need and demonstrate leadership.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Robert and Louise Eggleston Scholarship for Industrial Management Studies in Business

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in Technology Management. Juniors or Seniors must have an overall and departmental GPA of 3.0. Awards made with regard for financial need. Preference given to Missouri residents.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Roger G. Killian Memorial Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring or minoring in Construction that demonstrates leadership and character. Financial need will be considered.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

S. Strong Memorial Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time to a student majoring in the Technology and Construction Management Department. Incoming freshman will be considered based on high school academic performance and leadership, while current students must have a departmental GPA of 3.0. Preference should go to incoming freshman.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Society Of Manufacturing Engineers Springfield Chapter 321 Merit Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in the Department of Technology and Construction Management. Juniors or greater must have an overall GPA of 3.5 and have completed 15 hours in the department. Preference will be for students involved in a Society of Manufacturing Engineers Chapter. The student with the top overall GPA should be selected.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Society of Manufacturing Engineers Springfield Chapter 321 Need-Based Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in the Department of Technology and Construction Management. The student must have less than 30 hours with current students having an overall GPA of at least 2.0. Incoming freshmen considered based on high school academic performance and leadership; a letter of recommendation from a high school staff member or involvement in construction or manufacturing activities should be considered. Must have high school GPA of 2.5. Awards based on financial need.

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Springfield Contractors Association Scholarship

Selection criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Demonstrate academic ability to successfully complete degree
  • Be an industrial/construction management major
  • Be enrolled in 12 hours or more each semester
  • Display character and leadership

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Technology and Construction Management Department Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in the Technology and Construction Management Department. Incoming freshmen considered based on high school academic performance and leadership. Sophomores or greater must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a departmental GPA of 3.0. Graduate level students must maintain overall GPA of 3.0.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Ted Smith Endowment Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to full-time student majoring in the Department of Technology and Construction Management with a Construction Management emphasis. Sophomores or greater must have an overall GPA of 3.0. Preference given to residents of Southwest Missouri and to those with employment experience in the relevant fields.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

The Builders’ Association Foundation Scholarship

Selection criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Demonstrate academic ability to successfully complete degree
  • Be an industrial/construction management major
  • Be enrolled in 12 hours or more each semester
  • Display character and leadership

This scholarship is given in regard to financial need.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Wilbur Shank Memorial Scholarship

Selection criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Demonstrate academic ability to successfully complete degree 
  • Be a construction management major
  • Hold senior status with 20 or more hours in major
  • Be enrolled in 12 hours or more each semester
  • Display character and leadership

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed.
